Who is responsible

musclecalc.com ("MuscleCalc", "we") is responsible for the processing of personal data described here, as the data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as it applies in Norway. For anything about your data, email us atmusclecalc@gmail.com.

Calculator inputs stay on your device

Every calculation runs in your browser. The values you enter, such as your age, weight and height, are never sent to us or to anyone else.

• By default, your inputs are kept in your browser's session storage so they carry over between calculators during your visit. They are deleted when you close the tab.
• If you tick "Remember on this device", your inputs are saved in your browser's local storage so they are ready next time. Untick the box, or press Reset, to delete them. You can also clear them in your browser's site settings.

When you visit the site

The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., which acts as our data processor. To deliver pages and protect the site against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare keeps this data only for a short period and may process it outside the EEA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU's standard contractual clauses.

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not build profiles of individual visitors. It tells us which pages are popular, so we know what to improve.

Advertising and cookies

MuscleCalc is free because it is supported by advertising. Ads are not active yet. When they are, we will use Google AdSense. Google (Google Ireland Limited for visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland) and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud, and, if you allow it, to show ads based on your interests.

• Your consent comes first. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message before any advertising cookies are used. Our legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act).
• You can change your mind at any time with the "Privacy settings" link at the bottom of every page, as easily as you gave consent.
• Visitors in US states with privacy laws, such as California, can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising through the same settings.
• Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage personalised ads inMy Ad Center.

Apart from this, the only cookie that may be set is a strictly necessary security cookie from Cloudflare that helps protect the site against automated attacks. The calculators work fully without cookies.

When you email us

If you contact us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. Our email is handled by Gmail, a Google service. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We delete the conversation when it is no longer needed, and at the latest 24 months after our last contact.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete personal data about you, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we do not receive your calculator inputs, in most cases we hold no personal data about you at all. To use your rights, email musclecalc@gmail.com.

You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority,Datatilsynet, or to the data protection authority where you live.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

We update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top when we do.
